Borrowing the idea from our friends James and Julie, a few years back we decided to start including humorous “kid quips” with our annual Christmas letter. We’re very pleased to say that our entire crew continues to provide us with plenty of solid content. That said, this year Ella was our clear Queen of Quips.

Ella: Mom, I like that you built the tree house so close to the house.
Andrea: Why is that?
Ella: There’s good wireless reception.
Dad: Do you guys remember the time we all thought something got the chicken and then I found it in the front yard?
Tru: You were a hero to that chicken, Dad.
Dad: Ella, please don’t take seconds before I get firsts.
Ella: It’s not seconds, I’m just getting more food!
Andrea: Did you guys know that humans are at the top of the food chain?
Ella: Wait, humans eat humans!?
During Lord of the Rings, Gollum calls Sam a “fat hobbit.”
Ella: That’s body shaming!
Ella: Somebody pulled the cheese!
